Zena "Jackie" Hannahs

Zena "Jackie" Hannahs, 96, of Russell, KY passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Monday November 2, 2020. She was born in Greenup, KY to the late William "Dink" and Julia Johnson Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, G. Buck Hannahs in 2005. She was also preceded in death by her son Dr. Ivan Keith Hannahs in 2002, brothers Thurman Jackson and Nyle Jackson; sisters Irma Lewis, Thelma Terry, Ethel Honaker, Reba Griffith, Alta Evans, and Mabel McKinney.

Zena was a longtime member of Bridges Christian Church and a dedicated homemaker, later employed by Judy's Dress Shop and Watson's Department Store.

Left with wonderful memories are her daughters Rita Elliott and her husband Bob, and Lisa Hannahs and her husband Chris McCarty. Two grandsons Adam Hannahs and Todd Hall and his sons Christopher and Drew.

The family expresses their deepest gratitude to Stella Craig, Jessie Varju, Karlyn Taylor, Sandy Woody, and Kathy Williams for their faithful assistance in her care the last two years.
