Winona Williams, 90, of Flatwoods, a daughter of the late David and Della Akers, passed away peacefully Monday, at her residence.

Mrs. Williams, wife to the late James H. “Jimmy” Williams, was born May 26, 1927.

In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by her brothers, Leonard, Jackson, William and Jerry Akers; sisters, Juanita Deer and Gwendolyn Albright.

Winona attended the Pentecostal Holiness Tabernacle Church in Flatwoods. She stayed busy working and caring for her family, whom she loved dearly.

Surviving are her children, James H. “Jim” (Debbie) Williams of Ashland and Laura Williams of Flatwoods; step brother, Bobby Davis of Flatwoods; step sister, Elizabeth Milligan of Hampton, VA.

Funeral services will be at 11 am, Sat., Oct. 28, 2017 at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods. Burial will be in Rude Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 27 2017 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
