Willie Grubb

Willie Grubb, 73, of Russell, passed away peacefully March 20, 2024, at her home surrounded by her kids and grandson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Nedera Eiler Bailey Cole Eriney Bailey; stepfather, Erman Cole; three grandchildren, Zachary Johnson, Mayla and Gregory Webb; four sisters, Rainey, Floey May, Sally and Faniey; and one brother, Donald.

Willie attended the Wurtland Church of God where she raised her girls and was very involved in the various girls’ organizations. She was excited to meet her eighth great-granddaughter who is on the way. She loved her children, grandchildren with all her heart.

She is survived by three children, Lois Beck of Russell, KY, Rachael (Greg) Webb of Wurtland, KY and Candice (Michael) Bradley of Huntington, WV; eight grandchildren, Michael Johnson of Russell, KY, Dustin (Hannah) Johnson of Somerset, KY, Tara (Nathan) Colt of Greenup, KY, Kayla (Ray) Johnson of Greenup, KY, Paul Slater of IN, William McClure of Huntington, WV, Jeramiah Grubb Sierra Gartin of Wurtland; two brothers, Wayne Bailey of Ashland, KY, and James Bailey of Ironton, OH; two sisters, Ann Walters of Catlettsburg, KY and Grace (Bob) Skibbs of IN; seven great-grandchildren, Trenton, Greyson, Jaxon, Ella, Brycelynn, Autumn, and Olivia.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, March 24, 2024, at the Wurtland Church of God.

Visitation will be from 6:30 P.M to 8:30 P.M., Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Carman Funeral Home.
