William Blum

William Blum, 78, of Olive Hill passed away July 8, 2018 in Kings Daughters Medical Center.

Mr. Blum was born August 23, 1939 in Flatwoods to the late Carlos and Julia Blum.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, William Blum Jr.; three brothers, Mike, Carlos and Homer Blum; three sisters, Ada Abrams, Imogene Gumbert and Rutie Gumbert.

William was a member of the First Baptist Church of Grayson and proudly retired from the United States Air Force. He also retired as the assistant director of maintenance from Kings Daughters Medical Center.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Maudie Blum; two daughters, Kathy (David) Woods and Julia Berhend; two grandchildren, Christina Johnson and William Wheatley; five great-grandchildren, Dakota Graham, Daniel, Michael, Naomi and Maudie Belle Hernandez; one brother, John (Sharon) Blum.
