Virginia "Jenny" Ratliff

Virginia “Jenny” Ratliff, 79, of Russell, passed away March 12, 2024, in the Ashland Community Hospice Care Center.

Mrs. Ratliff was born March 6, 1945, in Ashland to the late Howard and Virginia Maggard Franz.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, David Franz; one sister, Nina Franz.

Jenny embodied the love of a true homemaker. She was always giving her heart to her two sons and five grandchildren, watching her family grow, and supporting them through all their ventures in life. She was an athletic woman who was an exceptional bowler, tennis player and belonged to several card clubs over the years where she was able to play with her good friends. Jenny was also a member of Bridges Christian Church, where she loved being able to serve her Lord and Savior.

She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Don Ratliff; two sons, Tony (Terri) Ratliff and Mickey (Dianne) Ratliff; five grandchildren, Dylan (Allison) Ratliff, Lennon Ratliff, Kristen (Taylor) Hall, Camryn (Nick) Pennington and Jessica Ratliff; one great-grandchild on the way; along with one brother, Howard (Susan) Franz.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Community Hospice.

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Carman Funeral Home followed by a graveside service in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.
