Virginia Irene Smoot

Virginia Irene Smoot, 82, of Worthington, passed away, July 16, 2018, in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital.

Virginia was born August 3, 1935, in Louisa, to the late Nero and Millie Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Smoot; her first husband, Arthur W. “Buddy” Snoddy Jr.; a sister, Florence Dale; four brothers, Robert, Harold, Ed and Curtis “Duke” Church.

Virginia was retired from the former Hills Department Store. She loved taking care of her dog, Prissy, and in her early years she enjoyed square dancing.

She is survived by one son, Paul Michael (Barbara) Snoddy of Pataskala, Ohio; one grandson, Adam Snoddy of West Chester, Ohio; and two sisters, Ruth Miles of Russell and Alberta Vaughan of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Funeral services will be at noon Friday, July 20, 2018, at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods with Minister Jason Lykins officiating. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Friday at the Funeral Home.
