Teresa Diane Gates Lemaster, 70, of Russell passed away at the J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.
Ms. Lemaster was born January 23, 1953, in Ashland to the late Richard Douglas Gates and Helen Greer Gates.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Houston Dale Lemaster; and one brother, Richard Douglas Gates, II.
Teresa was a retired chef for Disney. She was known to be creative in all aspects of life, especially when it came to cooking a delicious meal. She had a kind and gentle heart that loved taking care of others. Her greatest joy in her life was being able to spend time with her grandchildren and family.
She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Rhodes Nelson and husband, Kenneth Nelson; grandchildren, Zachary L. Falcon, Destiny Alyssa Rhodes, River Tylor Rhodes and Skylar Jade Rhodes; great-grandchildren, Montie Christenson, Hazel Ewing, Ezlynn Shaffer and Lailah Pregont; two brothers, John Christopher Gates and wife Judith Gates and Harold Clayton Gates; three sisters, Suzie Gates Tiller and husband Richard Tiller, Katherine Armstrong and Patricia Gates.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Argillite Church of the Nazarene.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M., Friday, March 10, 2023 at Carman Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., Friday at the funeral home.
