Sue Roe Dickison

Sue Roe Dickison, 90, of Flatwoods, KY, went to be with her Lord on Monday, August 26, 2019, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones.

Mrs. Dickison was born January 3, 1929, in Grahn, KY, to the late Roy Milton and Sophie Ann Sammons Roe.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Dickison was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Frank H. Dickison; four brothers: Everett Roe, Oather Roe, James Roe, and Roy Roe; and three sisters: Gaythel Dickison, Clara Counts, and Stella Chandler.

Mrs. Dickison was a homemaker that loved spending time with her family. She found great joy in playing with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and attended the Old Regular Baptist Church.

Mrs. Dickison is survived by her daughter, Lori Lee (David) Yates of Argillite, KY; two grandchildren, Brandon Lee (Tessa) Yates of Erlanger, KY, and Heather Renae (Joshua) Hess of Flatwoods, KY; two great-grandchildren, Alan Lee Yates and Andrew Garrett Hess; one brother, Carl E. (Ann) Roe of Flatwoods, KY; and a host of extended family and friends. She was loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, August 30, 2019, at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY, with Elder Terry Bryant officiating. Burial will follow at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods, KY.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2019, at the funeral home.
