Sherman Edward Stevens, 68, of Ashland, passed away peacefully Feb. 10, 2018, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
Mr. Stevens was born June 15, 1949, in Greenup, to the late Charles and Ella Stevens.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Tony Stevens; and one sister, Pamela Stevens.
Sherman was the owner of Denny’s Appliances in Ashland. He was very family oriented, loved to help others and was known for his big heart. He was also a proud veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Ellen Stevens; two daughters, La’Shon (Curtis) Pohlman and Lamonica (Timothy) Friedman; seven grandchildren, Evan, Jacob, Alex, Austin, Sunshyne, Gabriel, and Audriana; one brother, Ronnie Stevens; and two sisters, Cathy Kelly and Rena Withrow.
A Celebration of Life will be at 3 p.m., Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods.
Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
