Sharon Raye Benge

Sharon Raye Benge, 65, of Westwood passed away February 27, 2022 at her home.

Mrs. Benge was born August 27, 1956 in Jenkins, KY, to the late Jesse and Betty McCown Addington.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son, Eric Benge; and one brother, Gregory Addington.

Sharon was a former beautician and an exceptional seamstress. She always put her family first being the matriarch and loved taking care of them all. She was supportive of everyone always offering an encouraging word. She loved to craft and was a DIY woman.

She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Gary Benge; two sons, Ben (Desiree) Benge and Gary Benge II; one daughter, Nicole Benge and her partner, Roger Groves; grandchildren, Taylor (Stanley), Brandon, Brenna, Kaiden, Gavin, Hannah, Lynnley and Abigail; one great-grandson, Tai; along with two brothers, Jesse (Christa) Addington Jr. and Mala (Teresa) Addington.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the St. Jude’s Hospital.
