Samuel M. Grubb, 89, of Catlettsburg passed away Jan. 23, 2020 in The Sanctuary of The Ohio Valley.
Mr. Grubb was born Sept. 13, 1930 in Huntington to the late Harry and Virgie Overby Grubb.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Betty C. Grubb; three sisters, Lucille Victoria Neel, Maxine Smith and Alma “Pouge” Hamilton; three brothers, Jack Charles Grubb, James Fredrick Grubb and John William Grubb; sisters-in-law, Mabel Hamilton and Dolores Grubb; brothers-in-law, Lonnie Hamilton, Garrett White, Harry Conley, Don Smith, Benjamin Neel and Paul Hamilton.
Sam was a proud Veteran of the United States Army and retired from CSX as a Machinist. He loved to work on his farm, go flea marketing and being with his grandchildren.
He is survived by one son, Harry Keith (Melissa) Grubb; two grandchildren, Andrew Keith Grubb and Emily Renee Grubb; one sister, Lydia (Paul) Winters; one brother, Tom (Jo Ann) Grubb; sister-in-laws Glema Grubb, Melba White, Caretta Conley and Phyllis (Bob) Braden; and special nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, Jan. 27, 2020 at Carman Funeral Home with Pastor Lee Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be after 12:00 p.m., Monday, at the Funeral Home.
