Ruth Ann Yates

Ruth Ann Yates, 87, of Greenup, KY passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at her residence.

She was born June 5, 1932 in Danleyton, Kentucky a daughter of the late Roscoe and Grace Caldwell Tackett.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter Barbara Kelly; and granddaughter Terri Yates.

Ruth was an avid University of Kentucky Basketball Fan. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and a hard worker. She was a member of the Unity Baptist Church in Ashland Kentucky. She retired at C&O Raildroad after 40 years of Service.

She is survived by a son Estil Yates Jr.; daughter, Jean Ann (James) Pinson; grandchildren, Kristi Yates, Jason Yates, and Jessica Reed; great grandchildren, Ezekiel Merritt, Gracie Robertson, and Hunter Robertson; sisters, Sarah Weber, Mary Lou Womack, and Opel (Lovell) Caudell; special daughter, Jodeana Blackport.

A Private Graveside Service will be held at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.

Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY has been entrusted with the arrangements.
