Ruth Pauline (Douglas) Boggs

Ruth Pauline Douglas Boggs, 95, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home in Nashville, TN on Saturday, January 21, 2023 Mrs. Boggs was born in Russell, KY to the late Homer and Alice Douglas In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, James T. Boggs in 2020, two brothers, Vonnie (Betty) Douglas and Earl Douglas, and one sister, Hazel (Paul) Prater.

Ruth was a cosmetic consultant first at CH Parsons, then McAlpins and Shillitos before her retirement. She and James were members of Bridges Christian Church in Russell where she very much enjoyed her Sunday school class and traveling with the Sonshiners. She loved shopping and spending time with her dear family and friends.

She is survived by one daughter, Cynthia (David) Jones, two grandsons, Dustin (Allison) Grannis and Cole (Stacey Jefferson) Grannis, one brother, Carl (Peggy) Douglas as well as her wonderful family and friends.

Services will be private at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bridges Christian Church, Ashland Animal Rescue Fund or Alive Hospice, Nashville.
