Roscoe Burkhardt

Roscoe Burkhardt, 94, of Flatwoods, KY passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Wurtland Nursing and Rehab Center.

He was born on December 16, 1928 in Wurtland, KY to the late Clearance and Ena Herberlin Burkhardt. In addition to his parent he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years Phyllis Joyce Fannin in 2003, two sons, Gary Lee Burkhardt, William Keith Burkhardt, and one daughter, Kathy Jean Perkins.

Roscoe retired from C &O Railroad after 43 years. When he was not working which was rare you would find him tinkering with cars, enjoying a state park, spoiling his little grand puppy, Ellie, but most of all time with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving son Michael (Judy Peters) Burkhardt, of Ashland, KY, one brother, Raymond (Loveloe) Burkhardt, of Ashland, KY, a host of loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends that will miss him dearly.
