Rollen Eugene Newsome

Rollen Eugene Newsome, 74, of Greenup passed away July 13, 2021 in the Cleveland VA Medical Center.

Mr. Newsome was born August 27, 1946, to the late Rollen and Ellen Hall Newsome in Pike County, KY.

Rollen proudly served his country in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War. He was a self-employed heavy equipment operator. He loved older model trucks, cars and spending time with his grandchildren and family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Thelma Sue Newsome; three sons, Gregory E. (Billie) Newsome, Michael C. (Sarah) Newsome and Christopher B. (Lisa) Newsome; grandchildren, Gregory Ryan Newsome, Brittany L. (Fiancé Jeremy Hastie) Newsome, Kyleigh B. Newsome, Sophia M. Newsome, Mason L. Newsome, Scarlet M. Newsome, Dylan Harris, Lauren Newsome, Bradley Newsome; sisters, Justine Milam, Aldine Phillips and Hestaline Rose.

Funeral Services will be at 12:00 p.m., Monday, July 19, 2021 with Pastor Chester Keathley officiating at Carman Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, July 18, 2021 at the Funeral Home.
