Roger Scott

Roger Allen Scott, 71, of Flatwoods, passed away December 7, 2019 in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital.

Mr. Scott was born August 20, 1948 to the late James and Kathleen Scott.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Jane Scott; brother, Richard Lee Scott; and his best four legged friend Corky.

Roger retired as an Engineer with the CSX Railroad. He was a member of the Wurtland Church of God. He enjoyed old cars, fishing, hunting, animals, bluegrass and gospel music, and spending time with friends and family.

Surviving is his son Timothy Allen Scott (Helena Hardman); granddaughter, Alexis Katherine Scott; sister, Beth Ann (Dan) Dotson; special friends, Jenny and Buford Hurley.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 10, 2019 with Pastor Chester Keathley officiating at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods. Burial will follow in the Ridgelawn Memorial Park in Huntington, West Virginia.

Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
