Robert Scott, 76, of Flatwoods, passed away January 8, 2021 in King’s Daughters Medical Center.
Mr. Scott was born January 27, 1944 to the late George Scott and Flora Hood Scott Miller in Detroit, MI.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years, Mary Yates Scott; and one brother, Philip Scott.
Robert was a member of the Flatwoods Freewill Baptist Church. He was known for his quick witted personality and generosity that he tried to show to everyone. In his younger years he enjoyed squirrel hunting. Aside from his family, his love was his classic Chevy Blazer.
He is survived by two daughters, Kim (Phillip) Adkins and Sherry (Mike) Shannon; four grandchildren, Bethany (Dallas) Imes, Katelyn Adkins, Brandy (Brandon) Brewer and Ryan (Angel) Sullivan; five great-grandchildren, Levi and Deacon Imes, Aidan, Xander and Lincoln Sullivan; girlfriend, Bernice Chaffins; two caregivers, Debbie Rister and Angie Harmon; along with a host of close family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Carman Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Brown officiating.
Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
