Robert L. McKenzie

Robert L. McKenzie, 34, of Flatwoods, passed away Monday, May 7, 2018, in University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.

He was born April 4, 1984, in Ironton, Ohio to Bryan McKenzie of Ashland and Cheryl Ryan of Flatwoods.

Rob was preceded in death by a brother, Ryan Spradling; his nan-nan, McCletta Rice; and his best friend, Justin Clay.

He was a 2004 graduate of Russell High School and previously attended Ashland Community and Technical College. Rob was employed at Stanley Steemer and enjoyed hiking, camping and woodworking.

In addition to his parents, Rob is survived by his fiancé, Sara Branham; his daughter, Penelope McAdams; two brothers, Chris (Rachel) and Bryan Jr.; a sister, Tanya (Mike); two nieces, Harley and Jordan; and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be at noon Friday, May 11, 2018, at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods with his cousin, Keith Newsome officiating. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Friday at the funeral home.
