Robert Frasure Jr., 86, of Raceland, passed away September 26, 2021 in Woodland Oaks Health Care Facility.
Mr. Frasure was born June 10, 1935 in Danleyton to the late Robert Frasure Sr. and Minnie Tackett Frasure.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by four siblings, Geneva Winters, Jewell Hudson, Mary Lou Colegrove and Howard “Shorty” Frasure.
Robert was a born again Christian and of the Baptist Faith. After retiring from C&O Railroad, he opened F&W Cabinet Shop in Raceland where he was a woodworker and cabinet maker. He not only found joy in his craft but it quickly became a loafing spot for his friends and family. He was a talented musician and enjoyed bluegrass and gospel music. He enjoyed going to estate sales and auctions. Robert was a kind, compassionate, caring man who loved people. He was also a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rosemary Pennington Frasure; one son, John Kevin Frasure; one Brother, Farron (Helen) Frasure; and one sister, Nancy Stephenson.
Private burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens, officiated by Jack Patterson.
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic the family requests no visitors at this time.
