Rita Kay Mullins Griffith

Rita Kay Mullins Griffith, 57, of Flatwoods, passed away peacefully, on November 18th, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. 

Mrs. Griffith was born August 1, 1966, to the late Carl and Bertha Mullins.

Rita was the most loving, caring, giving, and kindhearted woman. Rita found her joy in life by being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved being a mom and Mimi more than anything. Rita was the best gift giver and the queen of Christmas. She was also known for enjoying a shopping trip here and there and loved watching the rain from her front porch.

She is survived by her loving husband, Rodney Griffith; two sons, Jeremy (Christy) Griffith and Colin (Baylee) Griffith; two grandchildren, Braxton Griffith, and Peyton Birdsell; two brothers, David (Terri Mossman) Mullins and Ricky (Lesa) Mullins; one sister, Sherry Salyer. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews; Amy Snead, Brandon Mullins, Andrew (Jordan) Mullins, Ryne (Lacey) Salyer, Amber (Mark) Sturgill and great nieces and nephews; Khalie Mullins, Crew Salyer, Stella Sturgill and Mason Mullins.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Community Hospice.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Carman Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.
