Reverend Kenneth P. Scott (K.P.), 87, went to be with his Savior on December 28, 2021. He was born in Eskdale, West Virginia, on October 9, 1934 to the late Elisha Wood and Tura Lucille Scott.
Kenneth worked as a brakeman for the C&O Railroad for many years. He also enjoyed working with his wife in her upholstery shop, Scotts Upholstery.
Kenneth and his family were members of the United Pentecostal Church in Flatwoods, under Pastor Lonzie Wright. He went onto Pastor the United Pentecostal Church at Big White Oak, KY, until the death of his wife, Joan.
Kenneth moved to Wurtland to be close to his family. He became a member of the Calvary Apostolic Lighthouse Church. Reverend David Morrison, his wife Jodi and the congregation treated him like a part of their family. Reverend Jamie Blair is now the Pastor of the church.
Even at the age of 87, Kenneth was devoted to studying God’s word. He completed many classes through Christian Life Academy and studying with his friends.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Joan Cumpton Scott; a grandson, Christopher Branham; and a great-granddaughter, Olivia Jude Branham.
He leaves his children, Vicki Lynn (Mark) Yeager, of Worthington, KY, Kenneth Jr. (Melanie) Scott, of Worthington, KY and Kimberly Branham of Clarksville, TN; a special niece (raised as his sister) Diana Wall, of Georgetown, KY; ten grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He had many nieces, nephews and friends that he loved very much.

We will honor our Dad with a memorial service, January 15, 2022 at 2:00 at the Calvary Apostolic Lighthouse Church in Wurtland, KY with Reverend David Morrison officiating.
