Rev. Randolph “Tudor” H. Vance Jr., 75, of Flatwoods, passed away March 20, 2022.
Mr. Vance was born October 7, 1946, in Logan, WV, to the late Randolph and Lucille Combs Vance Sr.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Pearl Kruger Vance; brothers, Brent Vance, Michael Vance, Mark Vance, Stevie Vance, Pat Vance and Dale Vance.
Randy was minister of God’s flock. He was a Reverend for most of his life and opened his heart to those who would listen to the word of God. For many years he was a Chaplin at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital and at several veteran organizations. He served his country in the United States Air Force and the Marine Corps. He was an avid supporter of Vietnam Veterans offering a shoulder to lean on. Randy was also a very loved man who not only had two wonderful daughters of his own, but was a second father to many.
He is survived by his daughters, Beth (John) Vance Potts and Amber (Robert) Massie; grandchildren, Geoffrey F. Vance Potts, Samantha G. Massie and Caitlynn A. Massie; two brothers, Greg and Wally Vance; three sisters, Angie Greathouse, Alesia Hutchinson and Anita Large; along with a host of nieces and nephews, several of which he baptized and participated in their wedding ceremonies of the years.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Homeless Veterans Resource Center at 624 9th St. Huntington WV, 25701.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M., Monday, March 28, 2022 at Carman Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veteran Cemetery Northeast.
Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M., to 5:00 P.M., Sunday, March 27, 2022 at the funeral home.
