Reba Quillen

Reba Quillen, 80, of Flatwoods, passed away November 5, 2023, in the Ashland Community Hospice Care Center.

Mrs. Quillen was born December 13, 1942, in Greenup, to the late Charles and Elsie Roberts Murray.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by four brothers, George Murray, Charles Murray, Jr., John Murray, and Billy Murray; and one daughter-in-law, Sarah Quillen.

Reba was a former employee of Community Trust Bank where she retired after 25+ years of service. She was known to be one of the sweetest, kindest people you have ever met and always wore a smile. She was a caregiver to those around her always opening her heart to others. Her passion in life was being with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She was also a member of the Raceland First Baptist Church, where she served her Lord and Savior.

She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Paul Quillen; two sons, Larry (Leann) Quillen and Gary Quillen; one daughter, Sherri (Jim) Gillette; grandchildren, Amanda (Andrew) Lewis, Josh (Ally) Quillen, Ashton (Brad) Marsh, Alex “Allie” Gillette, and Katelyn “Katie” (Chase) Love; nine great-grandchildren, with one on the way; one brother, Jim (Bonnie) Murray; one sister, Kathy (Charles) Martin; along with a host of nieces, nephews and other close family and friends who will carry on her legacy.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Carman Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at the funeral home.
