Raymond Greene

Raymond “Hassell” Greene, 68, of Ashland, KY passed away at home on December 20, 2021. Mr. Greene was born January 2, 1953 in Boyd Co. KY to the late Robert and Elfreda Short Greene. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother Allen Greene, and two sisters Connie O’neal and Sheena Thompson.

Hassell retired from the City of Ashland, and enjoyed many hobbies such as fishing, boating, camping, playing music and cheering on his favorite sports teams such as the Reds, UK, and the Bengals. Hassell was full of life, smiling and always ready to tell a good joke.

Surviving is his wife of 29 years Francis Sue Greene, one daughter Kathy (Tommy) Smith, two sons Chuck (Codie) Ritchie, and Bobby (Amanda) Ritchie, one brother Rodney Greene, seven grandchildren; Randy (Cierra) Suttles, Zack (Micaela) Smith, Breanna Smith, Cheyenne Ritchie, Cameron Ritchie, Brandon Ritchie, Jasmine Ritchie, and six great-grandchildren; Alexis Justice, Sidney Suttles, Kayden, Landyn, Alaina Smith and Braydon Payne.

Funeral service will be 1:00PM on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY. Visitation will be from 11:00AM until service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Dixon Cemetery.
