Ray Locey, 76, of Flatwoods, died Sunday, May 13, 2018, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
He was born Oct. 21, 1941, in Russell, to the late Dennis Locey and Lois Wilson Locey.
In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his brother, Sam Locey.
Ray was a member of First Baptist Church of Russell, a U.S. Navy Veteran and retired from G.T.E. He loved to hunt, fish and spend time with his grandkids and puppy, Brandi.
He was a Past Master of Fred M. Gross Masonic Lodge 953 and a 32nd Degree Mason; District Deputy and Worthy Patron of O.E.S. Ray was President of Russell Band Booster, a Russell JFL Coach and a Kentucky Colonel.
Ray is survived by his wife, Sandy Locey; a daughter, Chris Locey Cummings; a son, Denny (Verna) Locey; three grandchildren, Amanda Cummings, Brandon Cummings and Tanner Ray Locey; a special brother-in-law, Jess (Pat) Franz; and his friend, Paul Arnold.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 17, 2018, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East in Greenup County.
Visitation will from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods.
