Phyllis Jane Harris

Phyllis Jane Harris, 79, of Flatwoods, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019 in Our lady of Bellefonte Hospital.

Ms. Harris was born Sept. 2, 1939, to the late Paul R. and Geneva Sturgill Brickey.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Paul Jr., Ronald and James Brickey; sister, Joyce Brickey McDowell.

Phyllis retired as a respiratory therapist after over 20 years of service from Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital. She enjoyed facebook, online games & shopping. In her younger years, she loved camping, fishing and spending time outdoors.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her three children, Timothy D. (Rebecca J.) Harris, Debora G. (Paul D.) Gilliam and John M. Harris; seven grandchildren that share many memories with their “Nan”; and five beautiful great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 21, 2019 at the funeral home.
