Phillip Claron Bowling, 58, of Flatwoods passed away August 1, 2019 in Cabell Huntington Hospital.
Mr. Bowling was born December 4, 1960 in Ashland to the late Ellis and Mable Bowling.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two grandchildren, Joey Cantrell and Autumn Hayes; sister, Mary Logan; brothers, Tom Bowling and Doug Bowling.
Phillip was a member of Bridges Christian Church; he also held membership with the G.O.T.E.M., known as the Greenup Old Tractors, Engines and Machinery Club. He loved to hunt, fish and ride his motorcycle. He also dabbled in singing and playing guitar, auctioneering and known for being the life of the party. One of Phillip’s passions was the History of the Civil War and he set out on many excursions visiting the different battle sites.
He is survived by his wife, Bennie Jean Bowling; daughter, Krista Hayes; son, Bryan (Misty) Adkins; grandchildren, Chase Adkins, Gabby Hayes and Wyatt Hayes; brothers, Russell (Marsha) Bowling, Ray (Angie) Bowling, Mack (Sylvia) Bowling and Lloyd (Jan) Bowling; sisters, Glenda (John) Peters and Beth (Norman) Klamfoth; along with a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods with Kevin Fraley officiating.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at the funeral home.
