Peggy Jean Stewart Heaberlin, 89, of Flatwoods, passed away October 12, 2021 at her home.
Ms. Heaberlin was born June 22, 1932, in Ashland to the late Fred and Ona Riffe Stewart.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, William Heaberlin; one son, Bob Heaberlin; four brothers and sisters, Roy Stewart, Betty Scott, Sis Patrick and Fred Jr. Stewart.
Peggy loved a full house and looked forward to holidays like Christmas, Halloween, and the Fourth of July when everyone came together to celebrate. She was an avid Russell Red Devils and Cincinnati Reds Fan. In her younger years she was a den leader for the girl scouts and boy scouts. She was known as a mother to all and the matriarch of her street.
She is survived by one son, Bill (Robin K.) Heaberlin; three daughters, Brenda Litteral, Susie Markin and Patricia (Andrew) Greene; 10 grandchildren, Austin Heaberlin, Jaiden Heaberlin, Courtney Johnson, Tanner Heaberlin, Jennifer (Nick) Dickens, Angela (Bryan) Brown, Bub (Nikki) LItteral, Stewart Markin, Maddy Greene and Spencer Greene; 11 great-grandchildren, Payton Dickens, Calvin Dickens, Jackson Dickens, Brailey Oney, Landon LItteral, Savannah Litteral, Ellen Jane Heaberlin, Lucian Heaberlin, Vivian Heaberlin, Brady Johnson and Conner Brown; and her sister, Audrey Ray.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Carman Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
