Patricia Louise Hammons, 77, of Raceland passed away June 10, 2021 in the Ashland Community Hospice Care Center.
Ms. Hammons was born January 29, 1944 in Baltimore, MD, to the late Creed and Mable Roop.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Alan Hammons.
Patricia was a former member of the Wyoming United Methodist Church in WV. She loved to collect quilts, glass wear and she made sure a nice pair of shoes always had a good home. She was the best care giver to many. She had great patience and lived life with grace and dignity.
She is survived by two daughters, Mischa (Micky) Dixon and Robbin Strong; one son, Neal (Kelli) Hammons; grandchildren, Maverick Dixon, Shelby Hammons, Taylor (Tyler) Baker, Zack Strong, Erin (Roger) Brown, Jake Dixon, Grace Strong and Ethan Hammons; one great-grandchild, Averlee Hammons; one brother, Don (Faye) Roop; one sister, Barbara (Martin) Hopkins; and her dog Cooper.
In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the area Hospice.
Graveside services will on Monday at Lee Memorial Gardens in Pennington Gap, VA.
