Patricia Jean (Williams) Christian

Patricia Jean Christian, 85, of Ironton, Ohio passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023 peacefully at her home with her family by her side.

Mrs. Christian was born March 30, 1937 in Catlettsburg, KY to the late Charles and Virginia Borne Williams. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Gerald Anthony Christian, one sister, Dottie Woofter, and her grandmother Dorothy Bryant.

Patricia was a homemaker for most of her life, and enjoyed hobbies such as cooking, ‘her fried chicken’ listening to music, and traveling to see her extended family. She was a woman of faith and was a member of Coal Grove Nazarene Church. Perhaps her greatest role in her life was the loving and caring mother she was to her children, and grandchildren.  

Left to cherish her memory is her loving and devoted husband of 66 years, Herbert Christian, of Ironton, OH, daughter, Karen Pancake, of Ironton, OH, three sons; Herbert Christian, Chuck Christian, and James (Christina) Christian all of Ironton, OH, one brother, James “Butch” (Carole) Williams of Florence, SC, a special brother-in-law Carl (Shelia) Woolun of Jackson, OH, fifteen grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends that will miss her dearly.

Funeral Service will be 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Coal Grove Nazarene Church with Rev. Jeff Canfield officiating.

Visitation for family and friends will be two hours prior to service time at the church. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, OH.
