O’Dell Stone 84, of Ashland, KY passed away December 6, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Stone was born April 30, 1933 to the late Edward and Mary Stone.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one sister, Mary Lou Ward; four brothers, Calvin, Ronald, Edward and Jerry Stone.

O’Dell was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He enjoyed needle pointing, oil painting and playing guitar.

Surviving is his wife Magalene Stone; two sons, Timothy (Diana) Stone and Christopher (Cynthia) Stone; two daughters, Jane (Edward) VanEvery and Joy (Tony) Howard; grandchildren, James (Candy) Dillistone, Charles (Tammy) Dillistone,  Eric Smith, Fawna Theiss, Heather Clark, Loryn Howard, Bryce Stone, Krissy Stone, Katie Stone and Tim Stone Jr.; great-grandchildren, Elaina, Alaysia, Tavion and Kenna, CJ, Logan, Luke and Oliver, Roz Thorne and Falcon, Sparrow, Rylee, Bryce and Jaxon; sister, Shirley (David) McClay, along with a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 12 pm Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Russell, KY, with Bishop Benjamin Hurt officiating. Burial will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast.

Visitation will be after 11 am Tuesday at the Church.
