Nellie Grace Tompkins Davis

Nellie Grace Tompkins Davis, 91, of Flatwoods, passed away Septemeber 22, 2021 in Oakmont Manor.

Ms. Davis was born Nov. 10, 1929 in West Liberty, KY, to the late William and Cynthia Ellen Keeton Tompkins.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Cleatis Davis; two brothers, Benjaman Tompkins and Franklin Tompkins; and three sisters, Etterree Lewis, Buleah Lemaster and Elizabeth Kelly.

Nellie was a Godly woman with a strong christian faith. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, painting, crossword puzzles and crafting. She was a homemaker and a caregiver to others.

She is survived by her daughter, Veronica (David) Hicks; sons, Cleatis O. (Debbie) Davis and Larry Davis; grandchildren, Marty Davis, Nick Davis, Kimberly Roseberry, Preston Davis, Lisa Huckaby, Angela Martin and Lisa May; 10 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; along with a special friend and caregiver who watched over Nellie for many of years, Bea Corielle.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Kathy and the nurses and staff at Oakmont Manor as well as the exceptional care provided by hospice.

Private Graveside services will be at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.
