Nancy Sammons

Nancy Sammons, 81, of Argillite, passed away February 28, 2021 in King’s Daughters Medical Center.

Ms. Sammons was born April 3, 1939 in Ashland, to the late Ether and Lilly Willis.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by four brothers, Carlos, Ray, Herman and June Willis; and four sisters, Dorothy Grizzle, Faye Willis, Darlene Roark and Phyllis McBrayer.

Nancy was a retired teacher from Wurtland Elementary School in the Greenup County School System. She was also a member of her beloved Oldtown Christian Church in Oldtown, KY where she enjoyed being with her sweet church family.

She is survived by one sister, Madaline Sammons of Orlando, FL along with a host of nieces and nephews that will carry on her legacy.

A Private burial service will be held in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.

A memorial service will be planned in the near future.

Carman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
