Mildred Dillow

Mildred Tufts Dillow, 96, of Wurtland died Saturday, Aug. 17, 2019 surrounded by family at the Community Hospice Center in Ashland.

Mildred was born August 2, 1923 in Worthington, KY., the last surviving child of the late Lewis “Buck” Tufts are Carrie Halley Tufts.

She is preceded in death by two sons, John Dillow of Flatwoods and Don Dillow of Raceland; three sisters Olive Burgess, Katherine Sexton and Juanita Holt; two brothers Elmer Tufts and Gaylord “Smokey” Tufts.

Mildred was a baptized member of the Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses for the past 61 years.  

She is survived by three daughters, Billie Jean Maynard, Debra Kay (Gary) Allen, and Lydia (Dennis) Virgin; one son Gary Thomas (Janet) Dillow ; 17 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and 20 great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 24, 2019 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 1611 E. Main Street in Greenup, with Robert Dummitt of Ironton, Ohio officiating.

Family and friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until service time.

In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the Ashland Community Hospice Care Center or the Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Greenup.
