Michael Jason Carr

Michael Jason Carr, 42, of Greenup, passed away September 18, 2021 in King’s Daughters Medical Center.

Mr. Carr was born June 22, 1979 in Ashland to Robert Carr III and Sheila Bradford Carr.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert Carr Jr. and Edna Carr; maternal grandparents, Fred and Eileen Bradford; uncle, Larry Carr; aunt, Sharon Bradford; and mother-in-law, Bonnie Lewis.

Mike was a former employee of AK Steel for 20 years. He was an avid fisherman and loved to hunt, camp and work in his vegetable garden with his two children, Mason and Morgan and his dad. He also enjoyed going to car shows, working on antique cars, spending time with his family, traveling with them and being Santa Claus for his children. Mike will always be remembered for his sense of humor and love for life.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife, Misty Lewis Carr; two children, Mason and Morgan Carr; his aunt, Diane Carr; cousins, Shelley (Tim) Browning and Kathy Carr; father-in-law, Ed Lewis; and brother-in-law, Merl (Sara) Lewis.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Carman Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at the funeral home.
