Michael A. Boyd

Michael A. Boyd, 66, of Hampton, VA., passed away January 7, 2019 at his residence.

Mr. Boyd was born March 25, 1952, in Ironton, to Helen Kozee and the late Jess Boyd Jr.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by one brother, John Boyd.

Michael was a retired pipe fitter and welder. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting, and collecting and trading firearms. He was a member of the Sons of The Confederacy. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his mother he is survived by two daughters, Darci (Eric) Emerson and Codi Rodriguez; one son, Jason Huff; four grandchildren, Oliver and Graham Emerson, Kelsey and Garrin Huff; one brother, Randy Boyd; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods. Burial will follow in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at the funeral Home.
