Maurice Clark

Maurice Clark, 61, of Flatwoods, passed away, July 17, 2018, at home.

He was born March 23, 1957, in Ironton, Ohio, to the late Elmer C. and Hazel Littlejohn Clark.

In addition to his parents, Maurice was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Carr.

Maurice retired from J&M Labs as a coke and coal sampler for AK Steel. He was a member of Corner Stone Pentecostal Church, Apostolic in Faith. Maurice enjoyed collecting metal cars and banks, fishing, singing but his greatest joy was being a papaw.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ross Clark; two daughters, Alice (Todd) Jones and Susan (Teo) Rosas; two sons, Matthew and James Clark; nine grandchildren, Joe, Pat, Sabrina, Emma, Sage, Tom, Sam, Lilly and Susie; two great-grandchildren, Sylas and Aden; four brothers, Richard Clark, Bill Clark, Joe Allen and Tom Clark; five sisters, Dorothy Chapman, Pat Mertz, Pam Neilson, Romanna Akinson and Lisa Allen; and his church family.

Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. Thursday, July 19, 2018, at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods with Pastor Mark Russell officiating.

Visitation will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
