Mary Jane Rowe

Mary Jane Rowe, 84, of Lakeland, FL, formerly of Raceland, went to be with her lord and savior June 9, 2021 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.

Ms. Rowe was born December 21, 1936, in Pikeville to the late Adam and Edith Miller.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, John R. “Bobby” Rowe; and brother-in-law Ralph “Tom” Merritt.

Mary Jane was a former member of Raceland Christian Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir for many years. In her down time she enjoyed crafting, sewing and reading. Mary Jane loved her family and brought a smile to everyone who met her.  She was proud to say she was very patriotic and had a strong passion for our military veterans, saluting them every at every opportunity.

She is survived by three loving daughters, Connie Bays (Brian) Brink, Rebecca Bays (Tony) Salazar and Kandi Bays (Charles “Chuck”) McKee; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Jim (Debbie) Miller; along with two sisters, Eva Miller Merritt and Margaret Ann Miller (Elmer) Mullins.

In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to Raceland Christian Church.

Private burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.

A celebration of life will be at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Raceland Christian Church.

For those in attendance that have not been fully vaccinated, the family request the use of masks to insure the safety of all and thanks you for your understanding during this time.
