Mary Olive Duty

Mary Olive Duty, 73, of Flatwoods, KY passed away Friday evening April 24, 2020 at the Community Hospice Care Center.

She was born September 28, 1946 in Ironton, OH. A daughter of the late James and Helen Gilley Thacker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her loving husband, Walter (Jack) Duty; and one son James Duty.

Mary was a homemaker and loved sewing, working cross word puzzles, cooking, spending time with family and loving on her grandkids.

She is survived by her sons, Kenneth (Angela) Duty, Walter Edward (Mary) Duty and Russell K. (Maxellna) Duty; grandchildren, Josh, Jacqueline, Kristan, Dylan, Molly, Hayden and Mackie; great grandchildren, Katherine, Lily, Jack, Tyson, Mackenzee, Cameron, Tristan, Kash; brother, Harry Thacker; sister, Edith Horsley; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

A Private Service will be held at Rose Hill Burial Park and Mausoleum with Pastor Rick Mays officiating.

Carman Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
