Margaret Evans Roark, 94, of Flatwoods, KY passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Roark was born October 19, 1927 in Ashland, KY to the late Al B. Baggett & Aletha Schmittou Baggett.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Elmer Evans in 1973, and her second husband Henry H. Roark in 1995, Edith Patricia Lemaster, Linda Bentley, Nelson Baggett, Carney Baggett, Willard Baggett, Adele Carpenter, Gilbert Baggett, and Harold Baggett.
Margaret was a homemaker for most of her life, and enjoyed hobbies such as sewing, quilting, reading, and scrapbooking. She was a woman of faith and attended Carter Ave. Community Church. She was also a former Eastern Star of Flatwoods, KY. Perhaps her greatest role in her life was the loving and caring mother she was to her children which included teaching them good values and faith.
Left to cherish her memory are daughters Wanda Perry, Carole Traugott (Ken Hornbeck) and Cheri (Richard) Blevins. Grandchildren Joe Byer (Graham Yates), Charamagne (Mike) Myers, Robert Perry, Chandra (Cameron)Knight and Cera (Nick) Stevens and an adopted grandson in love, Matt Hornbeck. There are four great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild soon to be born as well as one great-great grandchildren soon to be born.
