Lola Mae Fannin Rice, 90, of Worthington, KY died peacefully on Friday, March 27, 2020 at the Community Hospice Center.
She was born September 1, 1929 in Raceland, KY. A daughter of the late Homer and Lizabeth Allen Fannin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Rice of Worthington, KY; brothers Elmo Fannin, Raceland, KY.; Carl Fannin, Lewis Fannin; and sister, Lillian Cooper of Baltimore, MD.
Lola was a 1947 graduate of Raceland High School. She worked at Owens Illinois Glass Company, Huntington, WVA, managed the Worthington and Russell baseball fields and ran a janitorial service for the Medical Arts building in Ashland, KY.
Lola’s greatest love was caring for her family and friends and known for her quick, dry wit. She was an avid walker and a member of the Bellefonte vitality center swim group.
Those left to cherish Lola’s memories include, a daughter, Mary Liz (Denny) Breller of Sun City West, Arizona; sons, Jim (Kathy) Rice of Ashland, KY; Jerry (Debbie) Rice of Liberty Township, Ohio; grandchildren, Libbia Maddox, James W. Rice, Keith Rice, and Eric Rice; 10 great grandchildren, one great-great grandson.
A private graveside service will be held at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.
