Lindsey Blackwell

Lindsey Blackwell of Ashland, KY, passed away November 15, 2021 at the VA Medical Center in Lexington, KY.

Lindsey was a 1975 graduate of Russell High School, served many years in the United States Navy and then worked for the United States Postal Service.

Lindsey was preceded in death by his father, Ralph G. Blackwell, his mother, Rosemary Salyer Wadkins Blackwell and his beloved wife, Yolando Velasco.

He is survived by a brother, Jack Blackwell and a sister, Margaret Blackwell King, as well as two half-brothers, Ralph (Rose) Wadkins and Tom (Becky) Wadkins and a half-sister, Carla Wadkins Callahan. Additionally, Lindsey is survived by several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and one great-great nephew.

In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to a charity of your choice.

Graveside services, including Military Honors, will be at Woodland Cemetery in Ironton, OH, Monday, November 22, 2021 at 2:00 P.M.
