Linda B. Prince, 77, of Raceland, passed away in the Community Hospice Care Center, Wednesday, May 27, 2020, surrounded by her family.
Linda was born Nov. 15, 1942, in Cattletsburg, a daughter of the late Barley S. and Minnie Dawson Potter.
In addition to her parents, one brother, Lowell Potter, precedes her in death.
Linda was a 1960 graduate of Ashland High School. She attended Ashland Community College, receiving several certificates. She was a secretary for John Diederich Attorney at Law; an office manager for Clouis Hurts Chevrolet; and was a manager for the Oaks Golf Club.
Linda loved to read and write. She wrote poems and short stories to read to her grandchildren. Linda loved to watch birds. She was a Christian and taught her children by example.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, William Prince, of 56 years; daughters, Alisa (David Lewis) Vallace of Wurtland, Amy (Billy) Selvage of Raceland, Stacey (Jesse) Boles of Raceland; son, Scott (Bobbie Layne) Prince of Ironton; three grandchildren, Todd (Tabby) Selvage of Flatwoods, Chris (April) Witten of Wurtland and Sarah (Jalyn Farris) Selvage of Raceland; three great-grandchildren, Gatlin Witten, Cody Harmon and Branson Mowery; one brother, Samuel Potter of PA; one sister, Lois (Ron) Queen of Greenup; along with several close family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Carman Funeral Home with Roger Bonzo officiating. Burial will follow in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens
Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m., Saturday, at the funeral home.
