Linda Sue Byer Bentley, 70, of Flatwoods went home to be with her Lord Thursday, June 21, 2018, in Community Hospice Care Center.
She was born March 8, 1948, in Ironton, Ohio, to Margaret Roark and the Late Elmer Evans.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. James Bentley; and one sister, Patricia Lemaster.
Linda was a member of Abundant Life United Pentecostal Church in Flatwoods, since 1969. She retired as an Adminstrator from Department of The Interior. She loved reading her Bible, crocheting, sewing and genealogy. She leaves the advice of “Give your hearts and lives to Jesus. Serve Him.”
In addition to her mother, those left behind to carry on her many memories are two sons, Larry (Graham Yates) Byer II and James (Kristin) Bentley; two daughters, Cheri Lynn Byer and Nancy Bentley Clark; four grandchildren, Allyn Byer, Shayna Clark Keller, Leo Bentley and Aleah Clark; five great-grandchildren, Melanie Byer, Jude Keller, Johnnie Carmona, Lilly and Mia Keller; and three sisters, Wanda (James) Perry, Carole (Ken) Traugott and Cheri (Richard) Blevins.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 2018, at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods with Rev. Anthony Keaton officiating. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
