Larry Gordon McKenzie

Larry Gordon McKenzie, 78, of Flatwoods, Kentucky passed away peacefully Friday evening July 17, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving Family.

Larry was born February 16, 1942, in Ashland, Kentucky to the late Ora Lee Jr. and Theodosha Mckenzie.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, George Lee McKenzie and a sister, Beatrice Kay Deaton.

Larry was of the Baptist Faith and retired as a Traffic Supervisor at Marathon Oil Company. He enjoyed golfing, reading, traveling and being a family man spending all of his free time with family and friends.

Surviving is his lovely wife of 27 years Terease Brown McKenzie; daughters, Angela Grace McKenzie, Heather (Anthony) Morris, Alyssa McKenzie and Laura Beth McKenzie; grandchildren, Kristin Ramey, Katherine (Stu) Gardner, Gabi Griffith, Addison Griffith and Charity Chapman; great-grandson, Elias Ramey.

A celebration of life for family and friends will be held at the Flatwoods Senior Citizen Building Monday evening July 20, 2020 from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M.

Funeral Services will be at 12:00 P.m., Tuesday, July, 21, 2020 at Carman Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Gowin officiating.

Visitation will be after 11:00 A.M., Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
