June Launa Cornett

June Launa Cornett, 87, of Worthington, passed away June 16, 2020 in the Ashland Community Hospice Care Center.

Mrs. Cornett was born July 19, 1932, in Flatwoods, to the late Merrill C. and Ida Elizabeth Young Chinn.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Jim LR Cornett; one sister, Ethel (Jack) Hoffman; and one brother, Merrill S. Chinn.

June was a member of the Melrose Methodist Church. She was an exceptional seamstress and loved to quilt. She enjoyed crafting, making dollhouses, crocheting. 

Surviving is her son, Rick (Donna) Cornett; grandchildren, Jeremy (Martha) Lopresti, Heather (Dustin) Hall, Amber (Jeremy) Diamond and Rikki (Mark) Austin; great-grandchildren, Grace Hall, Emily Hall, Radford Lopresti, Julia Lopresti, Hagan Lopresti and Harlow Diamond; one sister, Elizabeth Linderman; along with a host of special nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations are requested to Community Hospice.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Carman Funeral Home with Pastor Paula Sergant officiating. Burial will follow in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be after 11:00 A.M., Saturday, at the Funeral Home.
