John R. Logan Jr., 69, of Argillite, passed away December 26, 2021 at his home.
Mr. Logan was born July 24, 1952 in Shelbyville, KY, to the late John Logan Sr. and Margaret Maye Logan.
John was a truck driver for over 30 years before retiring and working for the Raceland-Worthington Independent Schools as a bus driver. He served his country proudly in the United States Army. He was a member of the Greenup First Baptist Church where he loved volunteering. He was a funny man that loved to tease and make those around him laugh. He enjoyed Raceland Athletics but his greatest joy in life was his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Myra Potter Logan; one son, Robby Logan; two daughters, Donna (Charlie) Gehringer and Amber Logan; three grandchildren, Brooklyn Gehringer, Brooklynn Witt and Carter Witt; one brother, Ronald (Toni) Logan; along with his nieces, Katie Logan and Bennie Hyde.
In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the Greenup First Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Carman Funeral Home with Dr. Tom Melvin officiating. Burial will follow in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at the funeral home.
