Joan Nelson

Joan Nelson, 84, of Russell, met her Heavenly Father, May 5, 2018 at her daughter’s residence in Thornville, Ohio.

Joan was born December 12, 1933 to the late John and Elizabeth Mantle Dunn in Columbus, Ohio.

Joan was married to Charles Fred Nelson.

Joan is loved and will always be remembered by daughter Pamela; son, Kevin; grandchildren, Bret (Tamara), Elizabeth(Andy), Bart (Jackie), Brady, Christa, Randy; great-grandchildren, Brianna, Nathan, Hannah, Shyanne, Hailey, Austin, Zackary, Jaidyn, Alex, Shane and Dylan; step-daughters Kim (Mark), Sherba (Allan); son, John; grandchildren, Matthew, Nick, John, Joseph, Michael, Jarrod and Jay; great-grandchildren; Payton, Charlotte, Gretta, Estelle, Jocelyn, Charlie, Lucy, Melanie, Carter, Charlie, Mary Ellis and Aubrey; brother John and Sisters Betty, DeDe and Sue (Larry and family), along with friends and church family.

Joan’s Celebration of Life will be held at 1 pm, Thursday, May 10, 2018 at the Advance Memorial United Methodist Church with Pastor Sean Shroll officiating.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday at the Church.
