Jo Ann Ashley

Jo Ann Ashley, 86, of Argillite passed away Jan. 23, 2020 in Wurtland Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Ms. Ashley was born August 15, 1933 in Greenup to the late George Cecil and Sadie Hicks Ashley.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by brothers, Carl Ashley, James (Deloris) Ashley; sister, Edna Mae (Allen) Johnson; niece, Carolyn Ashley Miller.

Jo Ann was a Sunday School Teacher for 50 years and never missed a Sunday service in over 50 years during her walk with the Lord. She was a manager for Johnson’s Marker Convenient Store in downtown Naples, GC Murphy’s and South Shore Farm and Home Store.

She is survived by her nephews, Randy (Dana) Ashley and Kevin (Sheri) Ashley; niece, Beverly (Doug) Grace; sister-in-law, Claudine Ashley; her caregiver, Sheila Riffe; along with a host of great nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kennedy Ashley, Kadin Ashley, Doug Grace, Kyle Sexton, Ryan Roar and Andrew Thompson.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Carman Funeral Home with Brother Frank Hackworth officiating.

Visitation will be after 12:00 p.m., Sunday at the Funeral Home.

In Lieu of Flowers Donations are suggested to the Community Hospice Care Center.
