Jerry Carter Deborde, 82, of Flatwoods, passed away Friday, Oct. 12, 2018, in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital.
Jerry was born Oct. 24, 1935, in Flatwoods, to the late Victor C. and Nora Elam Deborde
He was a proud U.S. Navy veteran and a former Rigger Shop employee at Armco Steel. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bee keeping, wood working and was a jack of all trades. Jerry and Betty loved spending winters in Florida, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Deborde; one daughter, Tammy (Mike) Carter; two sons, Larry (Tonya) Deborde and Denny (Cheryl) Deborde; five grandchildren, Jennifer Sizemore, David, Daniel, Jeremiah and Jonah Deborde; nine great-grandchildren, Sydney, Brooklyn and Madison Sizemore, Silas, Theiah, Tobias, Aiden and Imagin Deborde, Jackson May, with baby Nora and another little Deborde on the way; three brothers, Victor F., William and Marvin Deborde; one sister, Juanita Porter; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m., Monday, Oct. 15, 2018, at Bridges Christian Church with Pastor Shane Cox officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East.
Visitation will be after 9:30 a.m Monday at the Church.
